I use this blog to talk about my long commute to and from work. For some reason people think I’m unhappy and have begun sending me job listings for gigs in DC. Let me clear up some things… I have a long commute to work but I LOVE my job. I love what I do and the fact that I’m making a difference. I value, appreciate and respect those I work with and I feel valued, respected and appreciated in return.
So… yes… I have a long commute to work and I’ll continue to blog about my weekly trials and tribulations getting from point A to point B. But let’s be very clear… I’d rather travel on my long journey to a job I adore than walk next door to a job I can’t stand. Trust me on this… I’ve done both and I like it this way much better.
Meanwhile, the temperature is starting to drop. My bike rides and walks to and from work are getting more challenging. Of course, riding 25 miles a week and walking 15 miles per week is making my heart stronger and my hips smaller. PLUS… I’m green and helping the planet. Can I really be mad about all that?
